See: https://openjdk.java.net/groups/net/httpclient/intro.html
Java 11 comes with a new standard HttpClient with support for Http 1 and 2. And it supports full async handling, auth, and many more things.
It seems pretty powerful. I don’t know about its performance, but it seems definitely full featured and convenient.
Anyone tried it from Clojure? Does Ring support it already?

I’ve used it in Java code, but not from Clojure yet. I’ve thought about trying to make a wrapper, but haven’t had enough “Clojure time” to actually work on it.

I’ve made a Clojure wrapper for it, you can check it out on GitHub here!
