The [visual tools](https://scicloj.github.io/docs/community/groups/visual-tools/) group will have its 23rd meeting on April 7th.

## Agenda

In this meeting, we will continue our learning of [ggplot2](https://ggplot2.tidyverse.org/), a grammar-of-graphics data visualization package of the R language. We will

- explore parts of the [ggplot2 book](https://ggplot2-book.org/), focusing on [Chapter 14](https://ggplot2-book.org/scales-guides) (“Scales and guides”)
- practice using ggplot2 from Clojure through [ClojisR](https://github.com/scicloj/clojisr/)
- discuss the prototyping of a similar library in Clojure

## Suggested background

To prepare for the meeting, it is recommended to

- have R installed in your environment
- try some code examples from [Section 1](https://r4ds.hadley.nz/data-visualize) of [R for Data Science (2e)](https://r4ds.hadley.nz/)
- familiarize with R using Sections 2 & 3 of R for Data Science
- watch the recording of the previous sessions: [Session 1](https://v2.clojureverse.org/t/visual-tools-meeting-21-ggplot-study-session-1-summary-recording/), [Session 2](https://v2.clojureverse.org/t/visual-tools-meeting-22-ggplot-study-session-2-summary-recording/)

## Joining

Please write to @daslu if you wish to participate. We need to know a bit about your background and expectations to prepare the session well.
You can also use the **`Add to Calendar`** to add the event to your calendar.

## Length

The official part will be 90 minutes long.
Sometimes, some of us like to stay longer and chat.

## Video Call

## Recording

Possibly, we will share a recording of parts of the meeting. This has not been decided yet.
