I remember that first tweet you made about it and the amazing response you got. Seems like people are really hungry for an open source Roam. This has got to be a bit awkward for the Roam guys, though 
I do wonder what your profitability motive is, now that you’re accepting investments.
Focused on making a good product first! Understanding users is upstream of making money.
And unlike closed source companies, customers/users of Athens are not locked in.
