Sophia Velten ( https://twitter.com/sophiavelten ) will be presenting:
“Building conditional data dependency graphs with Nodely”

There are many libraries out there for declaring and running data
dependency pipelines expressed by directed acyclic graphs, but to our
knowledge none of them have built-in support for expressing
conditional dependencies. With Nodely it is possible to express
conditional dependencies declaratively and decouple declaration from
execution. We are able to run the same dependency definition with
multiple engines such as: lazy synchronous, async with core-async,
async with promesa and potentially many others, unlocking the power of
async and avoiding execution of unneeded dependencies.

Sophia Velten is a Computer Engineer currently working at Nubank as a
Senior Staff Software Engineer, where she designed State Flow, an open
source Clojure library which is the standard integration testing
framework at Nubank. Her main interest in tech is the interface
between humans and machines, which usually means language. She enjoys
a bunch of esoteric languages ranging from Ancient Greek to Haskell,
Lisps (Clojure) and Smalltalk and tends to apply category theory in
more places than it is advisable. Beyond tech she is also interested
in philosophy and (karaoke) singing.
