On April 1st, we had the 17th meeting of the visual-tools group, a group for collaborations across different Clojure projects for literate programming and data visualization.
This time, coming back after a break of a few months, we had updates from the creators of various projects. After the presentations, we had a long (mostly unrecorded) 2-hour discussion, mostly around the advances of large language models and then around our plans for compatibility across tools.
Summary
- @Markus_Agwin demonstrated a new way of blogging about SICMUtils, using Klipse plus a little Scheme syntax to JavaScript compiler
- @mauricioszabo: updated about the Pulsar editor
-
@mjdowney: discussed rendering structured output from ChatGPT interactively using a new Chrome extension: rendergpt
- @mauricioszabo also shared a link to the POC ChatGPT plugin for Pulsar.
- @Lukas_Domagala and @djblue discussed the new, deeper Portal/Calva Notebook integration
- @daslu discussed a few updates about the Kindly convention for namespace-as-a-notebook (in particular, support for Clerk & Quarto rendering).
