Visual-tools meeting 5 -- summary & video

visual-tools meeting 5 – summary & video

On April 2nd, we had the 5th meeting of the visual-tools group, a group for collaborations across different Clojure projects for literate programming and data visualization.

This was a monthly meeting, with various updates on ongoing projects.

  • @green-coder about html-to-hiccup, ongoing work on writing a Markdown parser, and other related libraries such as Girouette
  • @respatialized about progress with the Fabricate static site generator, demonstrated through a color-analysis project;
  • Adrian Smith about the emerging Membrane, with a dive into the unique visual REPL experience it offers;
  • @daslu about Kindly & Clay – thin layers of tooling for dynamical composition of other tools (the Noj library mentioned in the session does not exist yet, but most of the parts demonstrated are now accessible through ClojisR and Viz.clj).

Then, we had a discussion.
